Day or night, we are here for you.

A general surgeon is a surgical specialist.

We are specially trained to provide surgical care for the patient as a whole.  We diagnose and manage the pre-operative, operative and post-operative care of patients.  Much of our time is spent in the hospital operating room, emergency department and intensive care unit, as well as in our office and endoscopy outpatient clinics.  We teach the next generation of surgeons as clinical Faculty Members in the Department of Surgery at the University of British Columbia.

Our role in BC’s surgical care is irreplaceable. No acute care emergency department could function without a qualified general surgeon.
